Hello, I am Dr. James Miller. I am a Family, Cosmetic, and Laser dentist located in Scottsdale, Arizona. As you can see by the picture to the left, I am blessed to have a wonderful family. My wife Cari, daughter Brynn, and son Jack. I was raised in the beautiful (yet very cold) city of Calgary, Canada. Growing up, as with any good "Canuck", I spent my time playing hockey, skiing, and enjoying the outdoors. It was in Calgary that I was influenced to become a dentist by my friend's father, who is a dentist. After high school, I moved south of the border to attend Utah State University. After graduating college, I attended Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon and graduated in 1996. Wanting to be warm and dry, I moved to Arizona in July of 1996. In 2006, I opened my Scottsdale dental office. My vision was to create a …comfortable and relaxing office that welcomed the whole famiy. I have a passion for dental technology and continuing dental education. It is a really exciting time in dentistry. There have been major advances in technologies a dentist can utilize to make care more comfortable and convenient. CEREC cad/cam single visit crowns and Periolase LANAP laser gum therapy to name a few. I pride myself in listening to you, and individualizing any treatment specifically for your needs. I am a Fellow of the International Association of Laser Dentists and  an  Associate Fellow in the World Clinical Laser Institute and the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry.
In my spare time, besides chasing two active children, I still enjoy playing hockey at the Ice Den with the "old guys". I have also become a golf nut, much to the chagrin of my wife. Please explore our website to see the different services we can offer. I look forward to meeting you.
