Dr. James Millman
Dr. Millman and his wife have four wonderful adult children (two of which are married and two are still attending college). Both he and his wife grew up in Moline and feel very strongly about the Quad Cities being a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
Over the years, Dr. Millman has been privileged to serve as the president of Moline's School Foundation, chairman of their church’s trustees and other committees as well. He has also served on the Rock Island District Dental Society board, including as treasurer, secretary and vice-president. Dr. Millman was actively involved in many of their kids’ school and sporting organizations. He has been listed for the last four years by the Consumer Research Council as one of America’s Top Dentists.
Dr. Millman has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. He is a lifelong resident of Moline, a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island and from Case Western Reserve University Dental School in Cleveland, Ohio. …After graduation, he spent three years in the Navy, practicing dentistry, fulfilling his scholarship obligations.
Growing up in Moline, Dr. Millman originally did not intend to enter into a dental career even though his great-grandfather, grandfather and father-in-law were all dentists. It wasn’t until he was in graduate school at the University of Virginia that he finally understood the challenges, opportunities and benefits of a dental career and began to pursue dentistry in earnest.
The trust patients bestow upon on us to provide for their care is the ultimate compliment. Dr. Millman and staff sincerely value that trust and work very hard to honor it. We also believe dentistry provides a constant challenge of trying to be better and to improve ourselves, our abilities and our office each day. Almost every technique has changed since his graduation from school and yet the ultimate goal is still the same – to provide the highest quality of dental care possible.
Dr. Millman is a member of the Rock Island District Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He received the AGD's highest educational award, his Masters, in 2002.
Over the years, the focus of Dr. Millman's time and energies outside of the office has always been and will continue to be his family, church and community. However, he also enjoys skiing, travel, boating, scuba diving, landscaping, golf, photography, kayaking and an occasional Manhattan with friends or family.
