Summary
Born and raised on James Island, Dr James Moore was graduated from Bishop England High School and The Citadel. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Moore received his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. He was graduated with honors and is still a member of the dental honor society Omicrom Kappa Upsilon (OKU). Upon graduation with his DMD degree, Dr. Moore joined his father in his practice of general dentistry on James Island. For over five years, they practiced together with the elder Dr. Moore sharing his knowledge of over thirty years of dentistry.
To maintain current in the fast developing dental field, Dr. Moore has continued his passion for learning by attending many dental seminars throughout the United States. They include the L.D. Pankey Institute for Continuing Dental Education in Miami, Fla., The Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Fla. and Chesapeake, Va., The Piper Education and Research Center in St. Petersburg, …Fla., and the Zimmer Implant Institute in San Diego, Ca. Dr. Moore is a member of The American Dental Association, The South Carolina Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, and The Charleston Dental Study Club.
Dr. Moore enjoys family life having been married to Tanzy Fields Moore since 1987. They have two boys ages 21 and 13. The family enjoys traveling and all type of water sports especially fishing. They are active members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
