Dr. James Carmon Mosley III, MD

My mom was a patient of Dr. Mosley after scans in January 2024 revealed cancer in both her appendix and gallbladder. She underwent surgery to remove both organs. The pathology showed her appendix had a slow-growing tumor that had already spread to the surface of her colon. Her gallbladder had a more aggressive cancer that had started to invade nearby tissue. Thankfully, all surgical margins were clear and no cancer was found in the lymph nodes that were tested. Still, her cancers were staged as advanced: stage IIb for the appendix and stage IVA for the gallbladder. She met with Dr. Mosley in March of 2024, and was placed on capecitabine (oral chemotherapy), completing treatment in August 2024. Despite being on treatment, her tumor markers continued to rise, a clear sign the chemo was not working. This should have prompted urgent changes, but instead her care remained stagnant, the cancer continued to grow and our concerns were brushed aside. By October 2024, she began to experience… abdominal pain. By January 2025, the pain had become so severe that we were in and out of the ER because it could no longer be managed at home. She suffered unimaginable pain in those final months. On February 27, 2025, she was admitted to Sacred Grounds Hospice, and on March 1, 2025, she passed away. Throughout her time with Dr. Mosley, communication was poor, test results weren’t explained thoroughly, and we had to fight for answers every step of the way. For a patient battling two cancers at once, this lack of vigilance, urgency, and compassion was devastating. I am sharing this so other families understand our experience. Cancer care demands careful attention and clear communication. Sadly, we did not receive that here. If you or a loved one are referred to Dr. Mosley, please be extremely proactive, ask hard questions, and seek second opinions to make sure nothing is missed.

I hope you see this Mosley. You know you messed up. If you wouldnt have missed my dad’s labs that showed his tumor markers, he may still be alive today. My own mother who is a nurse found them. Not you, my dads doctor.

Just terrible! He missed several critical lab results. He charged us for a meeting with him to discuss why these tumor markers got missed. He falsified progress notes (saying he examined the patient when he did not step foot in the room). His follow through was pitiful. He’s in the business for the wrong reason. Just look at his facebook. His profile picture is his fancy sports car. He’s too young to be so arrogant. Unfortunately my husband is paying the price for dr mosley’s incompetency.

Arrogant and doesn’t listen

Dr. Mosley has been an amazing professional and has shown an abundance of compassion to my son during this delicate process. He answers all of our questions and we’ve tons of them. He has developed a trusting relationship with my son and our family which is imperative to eliminating some of the stress associated with a cancer diagnosis. By the way, his mid level provider Christine is absolutely amazing as well. We couldn’t ask for a better team!!

Extremely empathetic and very knowledgeable. Always takes the time to explain treatment options and has a solid plan in place for every situation. Very kind and answers all questions and concerns for my family.

The title sums it up. He is the least compassionate doctor I’ve ever met.

Needs to work on bedside manners! No patient empathy.
