Dr. James Joseph Murray, MD

Dr. James Murray has been my primary physician for 50 yrs! He has been a fantastic, honest and caring physician for all these years and never wrong in his diagnosis. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Below average practitioner. I had an incomplete spinal procedure and this Doctor never let me know. He appeared intoxicated on 3 different occasions. Avoid

Dr. Murray is a rare find these days. He truly cares for his patients and puts them first; even before himself. His knowledge is fantastic and has no issues spending time with his patients. He believes in patient care, not the all mighty dollar.

Dr Murray takes his time and is thorough. His staff ( which includes his daughter) is rude and cannot be trusted to fax referrals or prescriptions . They are unprofessional. My family is seriously thinking of switching to a new Dr because of his staff. We hoped they would improve but they haven't and I guess Dr Murray doesn't care because its been like this for years.

I was sent home from work one day due to being sick called for an appointment and Nancy would not give me an appointment, I insisted I needed to be seen and she placed me on hold by the time I drove from Albany where I work to their office I was still on hold. She never picked up the phone, I had to have my Fiance call the other line and make her schedule me for a sick appointment. Long story short Dr Murray is great been going there for 7 years no complaints but staff is pretty useless and uncaring.....

Doctor Murray is a very skilled and caring doctor, however his staff treat his patients like dogs in a dog shelter.

My family has been going to Dr. Murray for over 17 years. We really love him as a doctor, but have always been frustrated with his staff. I have lost count of how many times I needed to see a specialist and waited and waited for his staff to set it up only to find out a week or two later that they never did it. Or how many times they sent my referral to the wrong specialist. Plus, waiting on the phone to speak to the doctor about test results can take anywhere from 5-30 minutes!! His staff are nice ladies, but just so incompetent.

The Doctor himself is fine, but his staff is lacking. They don't call you for follow ups or appointments. You need to do that yourself. Even taking meds that require regular blood testing doesn't mean that his office will call to get you in..This is SELF SERVICE at its finest, you have to call them . I will be looking for a new Doctor with a professional staff that cares enough to follow through.
