Dr. James Austin Myers, MD

Dr. Myers has been my doctor for both of my pregnancies. He has been delivering babies forever and it shows - he's definitely not c-section happy like you hear newer physicians to be, and he has a lot of good advice that isn't from a textbook, you know? He also knows great tricks like if you turn off the epidural at a certain point, you'll be able to feel contractions enough to push against them effectively but you won't have pain! Best of all, you can walk a lot quicker after it's all over! I had to be induced with both of my children, but he waited to induce me until I was way overdue, instead of rushing the process, even though that meant I was in the hospital over a holiday for both of my deliveries. I really appreciated that he didn't try to get my babies out too early. Like one of the other comments said, Dr. Myers is a straight talker. It's nice and refreshing - I felt like I always knew what was going on and when I was overreacting.

I have never received such splendid care with any doctor like I have with doctor Myers. I am 24 years old and I have been seeing him since I was 13. He was with me through my first pregnancy and was supposed to deliver her but was not on call. And this time around for my 2nd pregnancy, he has been there for me as well. The best OB doctor there ever was and ever will be.

Dr Myers has been around the block, so he knows how things USED to be done (and the values of some of those things) and he is on his toes to keep up with new advancements. He is calming and always takes you seriously with your complaints. Wonderful Dr and he works with other wonderful Drs! It's EASY to say someone is great if you don't have any issues, but as someone with a LOT of issues, I can proudly say HE IS GREAT!
