Dr. James David Neel, MD

Dr. Neel performed a CABG on me several years ago. I actually met Dr. Neel through the ER as I was admitted for angina. Tests revealed I had significant coronary artery disease and he successfully treated my diagnosis with bypass surgery. He was very intelligent, confident, empathetic, and obviously a skilled surgeon. I followed his instructions and experienced an excellent outcome. I am now almost 4 years post surgery and am doing great. I was sorry to see him leave Norman, OK and relocate in Tulsa. I would strongly recommend him to anyone considering or needing cardio thoracic surgery..

Dr. Neel recently performed a carotid endarterectomy for my grandmother. She came out of surgery just fine. In addition to being a great surgeon, Dr. Neel is confident without egotism, and he speaks to patients and their families empathetically yet directly. We have seen a slew of doctors in recent years, and Dr. Neel was one of the few that took the time to sit down and answer all questions (even the ones with tough answers) without making us feel like he needed to rush to the next patient. In addition, he checked on my grandmother regularly after surgery. Our family is grateful for the knowledge, care, and kindness that Dr. Neel has given to us.
