Words can not express how I feel about Dr. Omera He has saved my life two times when I was knocking on deaths door having heart attacks. Been seeing him for years never trusted a Dr. like I trust him. After he has treated me for my heart I have many event free years.Love Dr. Omera!!

This was my first follow up since being discharged from the hospital. I was discharged with zero instruction on how to care for myself. I left the hospital without speaking with any doctor. The only reason I scheduled a follow up was because the nursing staff said that is what should be included with my discharge. I share this part of the story as I did not get any kind of answers during my hospital time so was really looking forward to be able to speak with a doctor at my follow up and truly understand what is happening to me. I spent all of 5 minutes with Dr. O’Meara. The visit started with asking why I don’t check my blood pressure daily (Was never informed I needed to) and that I will die if I continue to not check. He proceeded to tell me he’s increasing my prescriptions and got up to leave. I stopped to get a word in and ask questions but he did not seem in the mood to continue. I left still with the same questions I had leaving the hospital. I do have a new question leaving… this visit and that is what do I do after I check my blood pressure? If it’s high what do I do? All I know is after bad taste at North Florida hospital followed by bad taste at their recommended cardiovascular institute is I’m going to have find somewhere else to go where I can be treated as a person and not a number.

Dr. Omeara was very professional, warm, and reassuring. He listened to me, and addressed my concerns. It may sound a little cheesy, but I felt "cared for" when I left the office.

Waiting time was short. Technical staff was professional. Dr O’Meara was polite and thorough. .
