Dr. James E Ong, MD

I went to Dr Ong for 4 years and he was the most emphatic, understanding doctor I have ever experienced. Unfortunately I have moved away and I miss him terribly. He was so good to both my husband and myself. I highly recommend him.

REALLY listens to his patients and gives them the time they need. Keeps up with new medical research and treats them as unique individuals. He is still EXCITED about treating patients!

Dr Ong is an excellent diagnostician. He keeps abreast of new medical information and treatments and applies his knowledge appropriately. He is cautious and thorough, but does not recommend unnecessary tests. He communicates very well with patients and their families, with insight, compassion and humor as appropriate. Dr. Ong is an excellent physician!

This doctor mocked my name to my face. He does not listen and is abusive to his staff. He seems like a miserable man. Avoid him at all costs!!

I was a patient of this doctor for almost eight years. Up until about two years ago, things were ok. I then started having a lot of physical problems, back problems, leg problems, dizziness, arm weakness, and very severe leg, arm and back pain. After about eighteen months of testing, I was very frustrated. I was getting worse, and was being treated like a "druggie". I went to a nurse practitioner, and she noticed several very troubling things in her exam, (she had done the same exam as dr. ong). She sent me to a neurologist, and bam, he found multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, fibramalgia, nerve damage in my l5 area, nerve damage in my neck, and in my arms, these are just the ones that caused the severe pain. the neurologist put me on morphine, and loratab for the debilitating pain, and began treatment for MS. All this was missed, because I was not listened to, and was not taken serious. I was to the point that I did not care if I lived or died, the pain and problems were so severe, and… dr ong and his staff made me feel like I was below dirt. The last year I was with him, I was treated like I was a junkie, (even though I followed all of the rules, never abused my medications, and tried whatever they suggested for me even though it caused me problems. I spoke to the pharmacy manager at the pharmacy I fill my scripts at, and he reviewed my entire medication history, and there was nothing in my history to even hint at abuse. I had dr ong and a neurologist, no other doctors, and never went to er unless I was told by dr ong to do so. I even refused any treatment for pain at the er, because of how it may be viewed when dr ong got the report. My conditions were documented, and most of my conditions do cause moderate to severe pain. The stereo typing of the doctor and his staff caused me not to be treated correctly, and their pre-occupation with "narcophobia" led me to almost quit seeing any doctors. I am glad I no longer see the doctor, and DO NOT recommend him to anyone.

I highly recommend Dr. Ong. He is patient, thorough and a brilliant Cardiac Electrophysiologist. I had severe AFib and he fixed it with one catheter ablation out-patient procedure. His staff is friendly, professional and caring. I am very grateful that I found Dr. Ong.

Excellent physician. Very knowledgable and personable. Spends the time YOU need to understand your health issues. Friendly front office staff and his nurseis the best! I am so glad he is my doctor! Highly reccomend.
