Dr. James Orrington has been creating and improving smiles for over 30 years. Dr. Orrington received a degree in biology from Tuskegee University in May, 1970. He went on to earn his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia in September, 1973, and he completed his residency in Hines, Illinois, receiving a Certificate for Dental Residency. After his residency, Dr. Orrington became an Associate dentist with GEM Associates. In August, 1975, Dr. Orrington left to pursue his dream of having his own private practice, which he opened in September of that year.
Dr. Orrington continues to improve his craft by taking an average of 100+ units of continuing education each year. He regularly participates in courses to improve his skills utilizing modern techniques and materials. In addition, Dr. Orrington has published articles about the development of cosmetic dentistry and office management.

He gives back to the community by participating in career days at local schools, providing free dentistry on Martin Luther King’s birthday and sponsoring a little league baseball team.
Dr. Orrington also has an associate dentist, Dr. Byron Thompson, who has been treating patients for over 15 years. Dr. Thompson is a Major in the Illinois National Guard, and is here weekday evenings to better accommodate everyone’s schedules.
