Dr. James Dennis Otoole, MD

Jame otoole is one of the rudest, ignorant, most arrogant donkey rears Ive ever met. He seems to think his "OPINION", can totally erase ALREADY proven & verified medical facts. He refuses to listen to the patient, and interrupts you even for trying to ask a question. EVERYONE at Shadyside seems to be afraid to contradict his "opinion". I was told nothing was wrong with me, and my previous Dr was "full of it". My proven test results were wrong and previously PROVEN medical history was ignored. He scolded me like a child, and dismissed. Only to have him call me the next morning to say DONT do any exercises he instructed me to do at my appointment the day before, , and if I had chest pain to go to an ER. Then he hung up. NO follow up, NO reason WHY. . His "opinion " trumps everything, especially already proven facts. . This guy is an unbelievable arrogant jerk..

Being familiar with the medical Arena I have had the opportunity of connecting with quite a few Physicians at different levels of their disciplines. What I absolutely admire and respect about doctor rotole is truly his concern for his patient being absolutely terrified of what I had to encounter dr. O'Toole made sure that I was comfortable being of Italian descent it's difficult to trust and I can honestly say that he had and still does have my trust. His staff is so friendly and helpful which is an attribute of a physician's office that is scarce to find these days. And what can I say about his nurse she's right on it what a lovely personable woman it's a pleasant tree to have her do the intake before doctorow toll comes into the room. Overall this has been one of the most positive experiences that I have ever had. This is a doctor who is a genius, one who is experienced and has a vast amount of knowledge you are in good hands with him

35 years ago yesterdau Dr. O'toole performed my forst heart procedure. I was one of the first patients to have what was called " Ballon Dilitation " performed here in Pittsburgh. During the procedure the ballon broke and Dr. O'toole had to start the all over again. Although I had two major heart attacks after that, the artery that he opened still is open untill this very day.Just wanted to say thank you to Dr. O'toole and his staff.

This doctor has a good reputation. He gets very defensive when asked a question about his treatment plan, or tests he wants to run on a patient. That, in my experience, is a red flag! If a doctor is that insecure that he feels he has to get defensive, when a patient or family member is just trying to have a polite, educated discussion of the plan he intends for that patient... I quickly get another doctor. A really excellent doctor should be technically excellent but also able to have this discussion with the patient or family member, to help them understand and feel confident in his care.

This man is a donkey's rear. His arrogance is unacceptable. He is rude. I would never recommend him to any human.
