While the State of California requires dentists to take a minimum of 25 hours of continuing education courses every year to maintain licensure, he routinely attends well over 200 hundred hours of courses every year. He currently volunteers with several charitable organizations, including Children's Hospital Los Angeles, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the National Spit Tobacco Education Program, and Garth Brooks’ Teammates for Kids Foundation.
Dr. Pasternak is a lifetime member of the Chatsworth Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for both the Chamber of Commerce and the Chatsworth Business Improvement District.Â
His hobbies include hiking, backpacking, baking and cooking. He and his wife have been married for over 30 years. They have three children.
