Dr. James Patrick Corcoran IV

he is an amazing dr. I will see him as my primary only from now on.

Dr. Corcoran was a referral to me from a friend. The day I came in he was very busy and behind schedule leaving me waiting to see him for 45 minutes. I was very understanding and he did take a moment to pop in and apologize and let me know he would be in soon. He was very friendly and was able to give me the referrals that I needed (OB and Dermatologist). I came in as a new patient just needing the typical annual physical. I made this clear to not only the front desk staff but the the nurse too, as my health insurance covers preventative 100%. When I received my bill I had a few questions and when calling in I was informed that he had done labs (blood work) because of my "fatigue that I had been experiencing for the past 3 months". I honestly have no idea where that even came from. I had the impression that I was having the labs ran for my family history of an under active thyroid. Not once in the appointment did I say anything about being tired or having any form of fatigue. I am a… young and VERY active person. After contacting him to have this removed from my medical records he informed me that he could not do so. This was a red flag for me. I'm not sure if he was simply rushed and entered in this false information that was supposed to be for another patient or if he really just wasn't paying attention during my appointment. Attention to detail is vital as a PCP, and the fact that he actually had me do labs for a symptom I never even mentioned is scary to me and a waste of my time and money. I will not be returning to Dr. Corcoran.

Dr. Corcoran has been my Dr. for more than 10 yrs, I think. I was in the process of finding a new PCP and was referred to him. To my delight he has been the best for me. I feel as though he really cares about his patients and is concerned about their health. He knows his stuff and if he doesn't he will research and find out. I also love the Sunny View Medical office. The staff is also fantastic. They really take good care of me and my husband.

Dr. Corcoran has been the best doctor I have ever had. His attention to detail and the level of care he gives is second to none. I'm always confident that Dr. Corcoran will listen to what is going on and ensure when I leave that there is a game plan going forward. I go where I trust!

I was recommended to see Dr. Corcoran after going on a merry go round of primary care doctors. For my first visit, he personally called me out of the waiting room to take all of my vitals/ weight etc.. He then said, by the way I'm Dr. Corcoran, I'll be with you in a few minutes. The guy goes to the utmost pinnacle to ensure you discuss the things you want, and you feel like he is the only patient you have. He always gives you options without stuffing anything down your throat and is very knowledgeable with diagnosis, often times telling me what I would be feeling if it was x, y, z. He is extremely calming and has exceptional compassion for all of his patients. He and PA Jennifer Francyk have gone to extreme lengths to help me during a very difficult time in my life. I couldn't ask for a better practice or doctor - this is exactly why I will drive 40 minutes for every single appointment without batting an eye.

Warm personality however he doesn't investigate the reason for a symptom beyond a blood test. Some conditions don't reflect in them such as a reaction to medication. The answer "it is what it is", is not an appropriate response.

Dr.Corcoran is more than a family doctor he makes you feel like family. He cares and takes your health very seriously.

I am a big fan. My appointment was at 9:30 and at 9:32 Dr. Corcoran came out into the waiting area to tell me he was sorry, but he was a little behind. Ten minutes later, his nurse called me back - she did my vitals, and the doctor was in within a couple minutes.I have never had a doctor come out into the waiting room to talk to me. Or anyone, really. I felt like he sympathized with my situation, and took care of a lot of things inside one appointment. I love their online options - I can print my labs, make appointments, and fill out paperwork online. I also like that I can get lab work done there. I was notified of the results after only four days, when my old place took 2-4 weeks.He also considered my location when giving me a referral: another thing a doctor has never done for me.Overall, definitely a keeper.

He had his medical assistant call me to tell me that I had a cancer recurrence. Maybe he only like working for healthy people.

Caring and always there for you. Works hard to make you feel better. He pursues all cures to find the right one for you.Highly recommend him.
