Dr. James Lobel Pearlstein, DDS

Dr. James L. Pearlstein graduated from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1974 with a B.A. degree in Sociology and a minor in Biology. He was then accepted to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1978 with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree (D.M.D.). From there, Dr. Pearlstein moved to Los Angeles and was accepted to a General Practice Dental Residency at Sepulveda Veterans Administration Medical Center. He graduated from that program with a certificate in 1979. After practicing as an associate dentist for a year, Dr. Pearlstein took over a private practice in Los Angeles on Robertson Blvd. in 1980. In 1997, Dr. Pearlstein moved to his present location at 8920 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 610.
Dr. Pearlstein has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in a private setting since 1980. During ten years of that time, from 1990 to 1999, Dr. Pearlstein taught Urgent Care at USC (from 1990-1991) and then at UCLA (from 1991-1999) dental …schools. Presently, Dr. Pearlstein is teaching part-time at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC in the restorative department and sits on the Los Angeles Dental Society’s peer review committee as a member. He has also served as chairman of that committee.  Dr. Pearlstein is an active member of the Beverly Hills Academy of Dentistry as well as a board member of that society.  He stands in good stead as a member of the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Periodically Dr. Pearlstein will spend time outside the office catching up on his continuing education by taking classes.  These courses help him stay up to date with the very latest dentistry has to offer.
