Dr. James Clark Pilkinton, MD

I'm 59 years old and carry a dx of Bipolar Disorder since I was age 27. I saw him at Weems Mental Health 15 to 17 years ago. He cares nothing aboutthe patient. He lacked communication and social skills with me. He has military background and interrogated me as if I was in the military. He said I was " playing the system" and wasn't bipolar. He never considered I had been complaint with my medication and was stable. I was scheduled to see him for medication check. He ordered a blood test to see if I was taking my medication for Bipolar. The results were within therapeutic range. He challenged me the entire time on and out of the blue ask me if I had given any my medication to my mother who had endstage Parkinson's Disease with dementia and agitation. I thought there was a patient and doctor confidentiality. He knew I had practiced as a RN as a certified psychiatric nurse in the past and he felt threatened by me and turned me in to the board of nursing and caused me to surrender my… license to them because I gave my agitated dying mother 0.5mg klonopin to help calm her down, a very low dose sedative. Afterwards, he apologized to me if he had caused me any pain. He could have cared less. He's a useless doctor who will be investigated to this day after all this time has gone by from seeing him. I'll never forget this pathetic insensitive licensed doctor that other poor patients also had to contend with and now the VA in Tuscaloosa,Al. I could go on but I'll let it rest and save it for the Medical Board to investigate. My advice is not trust anything about him. He doesn't have you at his best interest!

Has a very sour attitude. Doesn’t care at all. Doesn’t want to help in any way or get to roots of the problem. Just load you up with medication and hope for the best. Has terrible communication skills.
