Dr. James Morrison Poole, MD

Dr Poole is passionate about understanding and helping children with ADHD and changing people's sometimes negative perceptions of children and adults who have ADHD. He created a great rapport with my son which positively affected his treatment and is currently producing great results at home and at school.

I have been pleased with the services provided by Dr. Poole for my grandaughter. We have been a patient of Dr. Poole's for a little over two years. I am impressed with his communication and connection with my grandaughter. She enjoys seeing Dr. Poole and looks forward to her re-evaluations and medication management appointments.

Dr. Poole has some very, very strange ideas about treating ADHD. We had a report on our child, describing his strength/weaknesses. Dr Poole literally (really, literally) threw it aside and went into his rant about "fast brain". He then went into "sales" mode, trying to sell a CD of "special" music that "will revolutionize the treatment of ADHD". When asked if his research has been published, he responded "it will be", we asked "what journal?", to which he replied "Ladies Home Journal" (Really, that is absolutely true). He is a quack, trying to sell his own snake oil, who clearly has not interest in the real science of treating ADHD.

I am a nurse of 19 years. Besides my telling Dr. Poole that my son was being abused and didn't need medications, besides my telling Dr. Poole that my son's father was abusing my son's medications prescribed for him unneccessarily, he continued to prescribe a variety of medications all of which my son continued to have adverse reactions to. Furthermore, he then referred my son, without cause to, to a neurologist who also then prescribed more unneccesary medications for my son which my son tells me his father helps himself to.
