We are a small friendly general practice located in Gray, Maine. Dr James Pound has been practicing in Gray for 20yrs. Our staff consists of 1 dentist, 1 assistant, 2 hygienist and 2 office staff with several years of combined experience who are dedicated to providing you with a pleasant, relaxing dental experience.
About the staff
Dr. James Pound is a native to Maine. He graduated from Stearns High School in Millinocket, ME in 1976. He then went on to graduate from the University of Southern Maine for his undergraduate studies and was accepted to and graduated from the University of Iowa Dental School in 1985. He has been practicing dentistry in Maine for over 26yrs. He opened his own practice in Gray, Maine over 19yrs ago and has been helping deliver good dental care to the area since. He is a caring, generous, with a great sense of humor. He is dedicated to his patients needs and to providing them with the best dental care possible. The Hygienists
We have 2 wonderful young ladies as our hygienist here in the office, Sara and Trina.
Sara has been practicing dental hygiene since 2001. She has worked for Dr. Pound since graduation from Hygiene School in 2001. She was born in Portland, ME and graduated from Deering High School. She attended hygiene school at the University College of Bangor. She has a wonderful, caring personality and is dedicated to providing her patients with the best dental experience possible. She is a good educator and promoter of good oral health and its importance. She puts her patients right at ease and is great with children.
Trina has been practicing dental hygiene since 2006. She graduated from Dirigo High School and then went to the University College of Bangor to study dental hygiene graduating in 2006. She has been a member of our team since 2008. She is a kind, caring, generous, dedicated hygienist. She loves her work, is a good listener, deals with patients well and is a good educator to the importance of good oral health.
We are very lucky to have them both!
The office staff
Twila is a native of Belfast, ME. She and her family moved to Gray in 1999. She has a wonderful husband and 2 great kids Zac and Anna who attend the local high school. She is very involved with the Gray community. Herself and her family were patients of Dr. Pounds before she started working here at the office. She has been a part of the team for 8yrs. She is very friendly, outgoing, always smiling person; she is our official office greeter in the office. She is very dedicated to her work and to our patients to help them with their scheduling, financial and insurance needs.
Beth has been a part of our team for 2yrs. She resides in Cumberland, ME with her husband and 2 girls Anna and Carrie. She is a very happy, outgoing, caring, smiling person. She handles all the everyday duties of scheduling, billing and insurance as well has several other office tasks. She is a great multi-tasker and problem solver. She is here and happy to help all our patients.
