Dr. James Joseph Powers, MD

Dr. Powers is very kind and a great physician. Unfortunately, the staff at his Grant office have been rude and unhelpful. Which has now forced me to see another physician. Please be more patient care oriented especially when a patient is in pain and doesn't need your problems and attitude.

Saw Dr Powers and he did nothing for me. Didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. and that was it. No help what so ever

I have been seeing Dr. Powers for a few years. He is the sweetest, kindest, most caring Doctor I have EVER had. I was in a horrific accident at work and he has just been the greatest. THANK YOU DR. POWERS

My experience with the practice and doctor was entirely the opposite of the review by Melissa. Rude, confusing, disregarded my opinions, front office person was rude. I couldn't wait to get out of the office at which time I ended up in tears. He came highly recommended by two other doctors I trust. I should have listened to my intuition when I called to find out if they received the referral, I was told someone called and it was noted,"no answer, no voice mail." Really? I have voicemail, call waiting, and caller ID. I called 7 days after the mystery call. I told the person maybe they misdialed or had the wrong number. If either were the case, they should have verified the info. Old timers need to retire!

Dr Powers is a great doctor. I feel at ease in his case, and I feel that he listens and is easy to connect with. It's easy to tell that he is experienced at what he does. I did not select him, I was referred directly by another doctor, so I didn't do my usual research to select this particular doctor. I feel that if I had, however, I would have still made the selection to become his patient. He is both knowledgable as well as personable - not very often do you find specialists who exhibit both characteristics so patently.
