Dr. James A Recabaren, MD

I had decided to search online for patient reviews on Dr. James Recarben. I'm just wondering why would my doctor referred me to him evenhough he's in my health plan in-network. There are a lot of qualified surgeons I could had been referred to. I wasn't very impressed during my office visits with him. I agreed to some comments given by other patients. He did not talk too much. He would give you the answers if you asked. He wasn't through or detail. Yes, very abrupt. I'm not exactly sure if I really want him to perform any surgery on me. He didn't really fully any tests results, treatment plans, etc. First I thought it was just me. I would like to thank everyone for also your reviews and honest opinions.

Dr. Recabaren is an incredible surgeon. He performed a total thyroidectomy in 2017 which during the surgery turned out to be papillary thyroid cancer. The recovery was a breeze thanks to him. Post surgery ultrasounds showed just how precise his cut was so as to not touch the parathyroid glands. And the small scar is basically undetectable. So grateful.

He has really fake bedside manner. You can tell how a person is by the way he treats others people around him especially janitorial staff and he is very disrespectful and demeaning. Racist and not a good person.

He is a god doctor

I very recently had a Lobectomy performed by Dr. Recabbaren . He did a fabulous job . He was was very professional and made me feel at ease about the entire process , as well as through it . I would highly recommend Dr. Recabaren to anyone needing surgery .

This surgeon is overconfident and lacks thoroughness and detailed knowledge I would expect out of a physician of his many years experience. After my surgery, I learned he is not well respected by staff due to his attitude and sloppiness. Avoid at all costs!

Dr. Recabaren removed half of my jaw years ago. His diagnosis was accurate, and his skill was such that hardly a trace of the surgery was visible to the eye. Because the cancer was squamous cell and because he was confident no cells were left behind, unlike some doctors he did no follow-up radiationtreatments, thus ensuring successful rebuilding of the bone and gum. Decades later I moved out of the area. My new doctor marveled at the skill of the surgeon who had performed the surgery. And incidentally, his bedside manner was wonderful!

GREAT doctor. My family doctor had Dr. Recabaren as his surgeon because he is a great surgeon. Who cares about his bedside manner! I want someone who knows what he is doing when he is cutting while I'm sleeping. My scar is almost invisable! GOOD SURGEON'S have god complexes its ingrained in their DNA!I wish I could show you my 10 inch scar from a simple gallbladder operation! That doctor was wonderful, polite, loving but did not know how to do a proper cutting job. I'll take Dr. Recabren ANY DAY over my other surgeon.

I agreed to some comments given by other patients. He did not talk too much. He would give you the answers if you asked. Otherwise, he said everything you need to know were in this booklet which he gave us to read. He seemed to me not very compassionate about his patients. I guess he is a busy doctor with a lot of surgeries and he only interested to do his job - that is, to cut. Good thing he had a very good assistant doctor - Dr. E. Gur who did all the paper work before surgery and checked on you after surgery. He is an excellent doctor. I have no doubt that Dr. Recabaren is still a very good and skillful surgeon (I checked with several doctors who recommended him for his excellent surgical skills and good with his hands etc.). He did a good job on my surgery (wide margin and clean work). I am so happy to have him as my surgeon. I will recommend him.
