It's been 18 months since my hip resurfacing surgery, and I am writing this review to highlight my eternal thanks for the professional care and treatment I received from Dr. Rector and his staff. For me, the results are nothing less than amazing! I was very physically active my entire life, but my condition prior to surgery required daily meds to mask my arthritic hip pain/discomfort. Even with meds, I faced a drastic and disappointing reduction in my physical activities and stamina. After Dr. Rector worked his magic, everything changed. I spent just one night in the hospital, and in two weeks was walking without a crutch or cane. I was diligent in my post-op rehab, and rewarded with a quick return to an active lifestyle and physical activities. My hip pain, physical limitations, and daily pain meds -- all gone. I aggressively and frequently hike, bike, swim, lift weights, and do just about anything I want -- and I owe it all to Dr. Rector and his team. My latest adventure… -- a 30-day backpack trek over 500 miles of diverse terrain and weather conditions. I never once felt compromised and my hip performed to perfection. My only regret -- not getting to Dr. Rector sooner.

I had hip resurfacing surgery one year ago. I am 54 years old and am a rancher and a high school Ag instructor. I had been unable to ride a horse for about 4 years and my hip problem kept me from many other activities that I needed to be able to do. Three months after the surgery I was able to ride a horse again without pain and carry out all of the other activities that had been so difficult. I am so grateful that we found Dr. Rector and I am probably going to have to have my other hip done within another year. I hope that Dr. Rector is available to do it as I have complete confidence and satisfaction in his abilities.

This doctor was unable to diagnose my pelvic fracture. He sent me home and told me I would heal in a few days. He did not listen to my symptoms and spent 5 minutes with me. The next doctor diagnosed my fracture with a simple xray.
