Dr. James Lynn Reese, MD

Appointment was in regards to issues with throat and ears. Dr. dismissed issues with ears, saying they were "clear", he determined throat issues were polyps on vocal cords, two surgeries were required (one for each polyp). While I was given a folder with standard hospital pamphlets, I did NOT receive any documents specific to my scheduled procedure, e.g. pre-surgical requirements. Day of procedure my only post surgical instruction was not to speak for 3 days. No documents were given to me. Post op appt was brief and when I asked for cough medicine to help prevent coughing (that will damage the site) I was told to gargle salt water and had to have my PCP prescribe cough medicine. No speech therapy was offered to me much less suggested. Is my ridiculously poor post op care due to being a Medi-Cal patient? After reading what my post op care and therapy could have (should have) been in addition to Dr. Reese's sterling reviews from other patients, I have to wonder if that is the case. How… shameful if it is.

Knowledgeable, friendly and caring

He was very nice, listened to me and thoroughly examined me. I feel he knows what he is doing and has seen a lot of variety through his year as a physician. Very personable and easy to talk with.

Such a kind and caring physician!! Office staff and surgical staff are amazing!! Will be recommending and referring people to him. My daughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed. Never felt so at ease. There was always someone there with a smile and ready to answer any question. So thankful.
