The James M. Rozanski Dental Residency Program celebrates its 30 year anniversary and The Regional Cancer Center celebrates 10 years.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) recognizes Adirondack Community Physicians Medical Offices for their Physician Practice Connections – Patient-Centered Medical Home (PPC-PCMH) program. The recognition notes their use of evidence-based, patient-centered processes that focus on highly coordinated care and long-term provider/patient relationships.
The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Utica and Oneida County is awarded a $100,000 grant by The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties to expand its Telehealth monitoring system to better serve chronically ill and non-English speaking patients that receive home care.
John Weakley, a greeter at FSLH, is selected by the Center for Donation and Transplant in Albany to serve as a float rider in the 2011 Rose Parade. Weakley received a heart transplant in 1992 after suffering two …heart attacks before the age of 55.
Renovations of AC2 East/West and the 5th Floor located at the St. Luke’s Campus of FSLH are completed. The units feature an Adirondack theme with warm colors and a soothing environment supported by the latest technology. Each room contains built-in oxygen and suction, individual sinks, and flat screen televisions. A pneumatic tube system links the patient floor with FSLH’s lab for quicker test results.
FSLH Bariatric Surgery Program has earned a renewal as a Center of Excellence by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), an independent, non-profit organization that advances the safety, efficacy and efficiency of bariatric and metabolic surgery.
