Dr. James J. Runfola, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Runfola since he became part of this practice, and he is the best!! Excellent diagnostician, compassionate person, and always takes his time with you. So thankful that he is my doctor!

Dr. Runfola always takes the necessary time to listen which is the most important attribute in determining if someone is ill and identifying the cause and solution.

As for Dr Runfola, he is a kind, empathic doctor who I adore. He listens patiently during visits and I trust him with my life. He is also the only reason (besides the other docs there that my family likes) that I am still there. There are a few front desk girls who are very nice but I recently had a bad run in with (Bridget?) I could be totally off on the name but she made a situation for me very hard and in return, my son suffered the consequences. When I call for an appointment she's short and acts like She's totally being put out. I was there with my other son who is over 18 but wanted me there due to being in pain and the nurse acted like I shouldn't have been there . She too was short with my son who didn't remember everything she wanted him too, just about yelled at him. I have one leg out the door. This place is going downhill FAST

Great guy. Loves to make small talk and honestly get to know you and you are not just another number in his patient book. Absolute great doctor hits the nail on the head for each diagnosis and prrscribes according.

I have seen Dr. Runfola for 13 years and he is as caring, thorough, and smart doctor as you will find. I have a cronic condition and even though he has seen me several times for this issue, he always takes time to listen to my most recent issues with regards to this condition. You are never rushed and he always spends as much time as he needs in order to accurately diagnose and treat the condition. The only negative is his staff leaves a lot to be desired. From the other comments, I now realize that I am not the only person that feels this way. Dr. Runfola is in high demand and that should tell you all you need to know about him. Smart, hard working, compassionate doctor with a ton of patience and excellent bed side manner!!

Dr Runfola is a good doctor - no complaints there - but I, like, many others judging from the reviews, have been subjected to the total lack of compassion, empathy, and manners of some of the staff for years. I do not understand how a receptionist in a doctors office behaves this way around sick people- it is so frustrating dealing with her that it has brought me to tears. I've never had this experience as an adult with any other office before. One day- she too will older and at the behest of others - I'm sure she would not want to be treated like this.

I must give Dr. Runfola 5 Stars. I am a difficult patient to work with because of all my inabilities to use medications most others can take without complication so he spends much time with me and my ADHD problems, gastrointestinal (he's really good connecting the "dots" understanding my Migraine Headaches as a result of the Gastro problems. Agree with all the other accolades; they are well deserved. He has been my Family Physician/Advisor for 13 years and I have found none to equal him. Having said that, Dr. Ridilla and the other doctor (I don't remember names well) are very competent; totally disagree with anyone who disparages the other two doctors. I have known MANY doctors in my complicated life (I am 70) and if Dr. Runfola is too busy I have no problem seeing either of the other two; all three doctors are highly competent to superior!

I cannot say enough kind, positive things about Dr. Runfola. I'll try though...he is extremely patient, exceptionally knowledgeable, offers valuable guidance and, clearly, genuinely cares for his patients. Unlike the shameful patient turnover demonstrated by most physicians, Dr. Runfola will take as much time as needed to truly understand your issues and work to find an answer. I feel beyond fortunate to have Dr. Runfola as my primary care physician and would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Go Dr. Runfola!!!

Love Dr. Runfola. Front desk receptionist is horrible. Condescending without an ounce of empathy. I hope she retires soon.

Dr Runfola is the best. Explains everything to you fully. But the office staff at the front desk leave a lot to be desired. They are condesendind and at times just rude.
