Dr. James Allen Rusch, MD

I saw this man many years ago. I went to my first visit and I didn't really care for him but I always give someone a shot. He changed all my medications. He made the comment that he doesn't normally deal with people on Lithium because theu are to crazy for him. Well I did try the new medication and I ended up getting veey sick and having a panic attack. I brought my ex with me to my next appointment so I'd habe a witness. The man had the nerve to say he knew ge shouldn't have taken me because I'm to crazy and that he doesn't have time for people that will second guess him. This actually continued into the waiting room wgere itger clients witnessed a little bit of his outburst.

I saw this “doctor” while in-patient and in a suicidal state of mind; he refused to talk WITH me—he talked AT me. Arrogant and condescending. Never again.

4 months waiting to see him 20 minutes in he tells me I have to many problems and he can't take me as a patient, no referral, no advice,

I saw this doctor while he was in private practice on David Street in Gulfport. This guy is so enamored with himself that it is almost comical. He did not listen to me and we had disagreement on medication at which he got real uptight. I never went back to see him again and never will!

I had seen him while in PHP with Memorial. He kept ignoring my cries about my medication not working as I was becoming more and more manic. I then requested to go inpatient. I asked on a Friday, and it took until half way through the following week to agree. While inpatient, he stayed my provider, and he continued to ignore my pleas for help. I have been inpatient with MBH several times, and have never dealt with someone like him. That was the first time I had left that place not ready to go just so I could go back to my regular provider who knew how to help. Every time I see him while waiting to see my provider, my blood boils.

He would not factor my childhood trauma in his treatment for me. Refused to let me input my thoughts.
