Dr. James Robert Sabetta, MD

When no one else knew what to do Jim did. So thankful for his knowledge

Dr. Sabetta literally saved my life by properly diagnosing me with C Dif when every other Dr. missed it, and by caring for me for over 2 years until I was completely recovered. He is brilliant, attentive and completely dedicated to his patients. He is truly one in a million.

I am about to travel to South Africa and went to Greenwich Hospital Infectious Disease to receive my vaccinations and information needed. This is my first time ever traveling where you need Malaria and shots. My friends who we are traveling went to Passport Health in Stamford. They received conflicting information than I received. I called back the office at Greenwich Hospital to talk to an infectious disease doctor and spoke with Dr. James Sabetta. When he got on the phone he was obviously annoyed, because he began to talk without listening to my questions. He was condescending, and kept talking over me not answering my direct question. I am very concerned and didn't have an attitude, but when I pointed out that I didn't appreciate his attitude he didn't care. What a jerk. He couldn't even answer about whether I should take Travelan on my trip, because he did not know what it was. I don't understand how a specialist in diseases could have such lack of patience to help answer… any questions. I recommend you see a different doctor at the practice.

Dr. Sabetta is hands-down the best medical doctor I have seen in my 27 years of life. His demeanor and bed-side manner is calm, positive, thorough, attentive, flexible, and personal. I saw him for treatment for complications stemming from a life-long battle with Crohn's Disease. Dr. Sabetta made me feel comfortable and relaxed and asked questions about my recreational and personal life (which no doctor has done before!) We also discussed life events to address my stress and anxiety issues and he made recommendations as to what I need. I find doctors are usually distracted or rushed when visiting their patients, but not with Dr. Sabetta. I had the sense that this doctor REALLY cared about my entire well being and not just the fact that I needed emergency care and some other work done. I could tell that Dr. Sabetta has a well rounded medical backround and practices with a caring and professional perspective, not the typical "fix it and get rid of it" approach. It is for these reasons… and his attentive, friendly, and welcoming staff that I would give him 5 stars! I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone that values their health and wants a doctor that is caring, empowering, and most importantly a new friend.

Dr Sabetta is an excellent and caring physician

I cannot comment on his intelligence, because I only saw him to discuss vaccinations for an Africa trip. But he is very rude and pushy.

Dr. Sabetta treated my father for spinal osteomyelitis, and I will never forget him. He personally carried my father's cultures to another hospital for testing to find the best antibiotic. Throughout the hospitalization, he checked in on my dad whether Dad was under his care at the time or not. At one point my father was in intensive care for another reason. Dr Sabetta spotted my brother in a hallway, and took him aside to see how HE was doing.He is as compassionate, dedicated and knowledgeable as you could wish a physician to be.

Dr. Sabetta is strange. Don't ask me why, he just is. Smart though.

When I was diagnosed with diabetes years ago, I had Dr. Sabetta treat me. I was so impressed that I wanted to write a note or poem about his dedication, caring and incredible way with people. I never did. While I was waiting for him, his mother came in and brought him a cake and looked lovingly for her very special son. I never, ever forgot that moment. I am finally getting a chance to say, there are doctors and doctors but in my opinion, Dr. Sabetta rates as one of the top, in his profession and as a human being. God bless him
