Dr. Sainsbury is outstanding! He is a Endodontist that is patient, kind, caring and puts his patients at ease. My 10 year old needed a root canal. Our insurance gave us his name and I was worried not knowing him. His office staff was outstanding!! Dr. Sainsbury was amazing talking to my girl the whole time, telling her each step of the way what was going to happen, and just all around being nurturing. His dental assistants were so wonderful too! I could not have asked for anyone better. He and his staff will always hold a place in my heart for treating us so well. We are blessed to be one of his patients. ??

Only go to this doctor if you think it is fine for a doctor to say to a patient, “You must be STUPID!” when they ask a doctor why they needed an expensive CT scan. Also go here if you like to pay WAY TOO MUCH! I was sent to Dr. Sainsbury by my dentist because I was in severe pain and my Dentist thought I needed a root canal under my temporary crown. After I signed in, the secretary informed me that I would have to have a CT scan before the doctor would see me and it wasn’t covered by my insurance-that is when I should have left. I have had five root canals before, and I never needed a CT scan before. She said it was a new protocol, and that the doctor wouldn’t even see me until I had the CT which I also had to pay for first. She said if I did the test I could have the procedure done right away and be out of pain, otherwise she wouldn’t have an appointment for me for a week! I caved and did the test. Then I waited for 1.5 hours to see the doctor. It was after hours at that time. He… didn’t discuss the CT at all. He tapped on my tooth and asked a couple of questions and said, “I am not convinced that you need a root canal today. Why don’t we see how you feel by Monday. “(It was Thursday and they are closed on Friday) He sent me home without prescribing any antibiotics or even a prescription strength ibuprofen for pain. I was in excruciating pain all weekend! On Monday when I saw Dr. Sainsbury I told him of the severe pain I was in . He then said that he thought I needed a root canal-still no mention of the results of the CT scan. I asked him why I needed the CT scan if he was going to base his decision on my symptoms. I asked him what the purpose of it was. He said to me, “Aren’t you a nurse? You must be STUPID if you don’t understand CT scans!” I looked at him and said, “Did you just seriously call me stupid?” He replied, “I didn’t call you stupid, I said you MUST BE STUPID! I don’t even feel like doing your procedure now. You can go find someone else. I went to a doctor the next morning who did the procedure without a CT scan for over $1000 less out of pocket than what Dr. Sainsbury was charging!

Dear Dr Sainsbury Please retire or seek another profession. You insulted my wife and made her cry while she was in great pain. You told her she was STUPID! You have NO respect, NO compassion and NO HEART! Dear prospective patients Please do your homework, check reviews and don't just go here because your dentist referred you. IT HAS NOW BEEN OVER 2 WEEKS SINCE I STARTED LEAVING MESSAGES AT HIS OFFICE. AFTER SPENDING $4600, BETWEEN HIM AND BRYAN SNYDER, I AM NOW OUT AN ADDITIONAL, SO FAR, $2000 FOR A NEW TEMP CROWN, SURGERY, WHICH BECAUSE OF HIM BREAKING MY TOOTH, AND FRACTURING MY BONE, AND AM IN NEED OF NOT 1 BUT 2 NEW CROWNS. ALONG WITH ALL THE DAMAGE, PAIN, AND FINANCAL BRUTALITY, WHEN HE DID A ROOT CANAL ON THE OTHER SIDE OF MOUTH, WHICH I DID NOT KNOW UNTIL LAST WEEK, HE BROKE THAT CROWN AS WELL. I FOUND THIS OUT WHEN I ALONG WITH MY DINNER, CHEWED AND SWALLOWED. HE NEEDS TO BE SANCTIONED FOR ALL THE DAMAGE, PAIN AND FINANCIAL PROBLEMS HEW HAS COST PATIENTS. HE IS RUDE, OVERBEARING, UNCARING AND AN ALL AROUND CROOK.

Dr Sainsbury performed a failed root canal that was evidenced in the X-rays taken and did not disclose it until after I revisited his office in pain and discomfort from the same tooth.

if there were a way to do 0 stars i would. i went to "dr" james sainbury as a referral from dr bryan synder. they seem to team up. anyway, i had a crown cemented on my tooth which sainsbury then attempted to do a root canal through. he not only electric shocked me several times with the novocane shots, and said this happens all the time. in 57 years......never!!!!! happened before. he then broke the crown, and recemented the broken one back in. the one i paid $1300 for, just 6 months prior to. he then said, "no big deal" very big deal. i am in pain. it looks like garbage, and again..........i am in pain! i left 3 messages for a call back only to be ignored. i finally got through and was basically told tough sh*t! i was also told by his mgr andrea, that he said this can happen. a) no he did not! b) who goes to a "dr" who says they can break your teeth?!?! they're not paying for the repair. i then called his cheerleader snyder, and he acted like he was doing me a favor. said he'd repair… for half price. half price?! i just paid it off yesterday. $1300.00. so as of today, i am igony, and no one gives a sh*t! synder even went as far as saying, no attorney will help me. this is his first thought. if anyone knows how to report this further/higher up, please advise. ps: LETS NOT FORGET THAT AFTER WAITING CLOSE TO 90 MINS TO SEE HIM FOR MY APPT, I WAS TOLD IF I DIDN'T LIKE IT, I CAN LEAVE. SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THAT AS SIGN 1!

Dr. Sainsbury and his staff are very friendly, patient, knowledgeable, thorough and professional. Painless procedure. Comfortable and relaxing office environment. Follow-up by phone and mail. Would definitely recommend and return for treatment.
