Dr. James Claude Sanderson, MD

Upscale, dignified, professional, clean and highly focused practice. Dr. Sanderson comes across as an exceptionally intelligent “straight shooter” communicator that answered all of my questions. No cheesy practiced responses, sales pitches or product push. Little things that speak volumes: like his before/after online website pictures are perfectly straight on and well lit, so one can judge symmetry of his work (unlike like most competition whose pictures are dark and heads cocked to one side). Every touch with his staff has been excellent. They are all knowledgeable regarding procedures, and pre and post opp. They pick up the phone, return calls promptly and call for appointment reminders. Bottom line, from my experience thus far Dr. Sanderson’s practice is warm and well managed boutique, with an ethical and moral backbone. Next step for me is the procedure.

I had eyelid surgery and laser resurfacing done by Dr. Sanderson 15 years ago with excellent results! I am in my mid 60’s now and decided to have laser resurfacing again. I also was considering a chin lift. I decided to just do the laser resurfacing at this time, and I am so pleased with my results! It has wiped out my wrinkles which at this point was what I wanted. I also have severe dry eye due to autoimmune issues, and Dr. Sanderson has helped me tremendously with that as well. I will be returning for a chin lift in the future! I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I love Dr Sanderson’s staff as well, they have treated me like family. I want to thank them all!

Dr Sanderson is an excellent Surgeon. He put me at ease in our first appointment and I went into surgery with confidence not at all apprehensive. The results of my surgery is amazing and I would highly recommend Dr Sanderson his bedside manner is wonderful and caring. The staff in his office were absolutely amazing. Thank You!

Dr. Sanderson and his staff went out of their way to accommodate and provide us with a surgical treatment for our mother. We found ourselves in a situation that we needed to be with her within a certain time frame for her surgery and post op care. With Dr. Sanderson's kind concern to this matter and the professional, dedicated intake personnel, they were able to assist us to make this surgery happen with just a couple of days. We are so appreciative that this office understood our situation and that everyone we came in contact with were so competent and caring.

Working in the medical field myself, I expected better treatment from a St. Luke's alumnus. The eyelid lift Dr. Sanderson performed on a Thursday was an assembly line procedure with no disguising the fact that three more patients were waiting down the hall. The closing sutures were not only hurried but cosmetically not the best technique. The final straw fell on the following Saturday when the sutures of one eyelid failed and opened up. Dr. Sanderson was out of town. The on-call physician applied 2 butterflies to the area and told me to contact Sanderson's office on Monday. I expected much better everything and no, I would not refer anyone to Dr. Sanderson.

First off, kudos to his very helpful staff, as the appt and all aspects were accomplished with ease. Now on to the Dr. He's not the most personable and while it's not the purpose of my visit, a quick ice-breaking interaction does help to forge a trusting, comforting relationship. During the exam, I didn't appreciate that he imposed upon me what he deems to be painful. In other words, when I instinctively winced and relayed that flipping back my eyelid or whatever odd-to-me exercise it was was uncomfortable he said it wasn't. Obviously that's not fruitful or endearing. Bottom line outcome for my presenting problem... it was easily resolved with a second opinion prescribing antibiotics whereas Dr. Sanderson's treatment plan was a proposed procedure. I'm really grateful I didn't need to risk any ocular intrusiveness. My condition was rather simple and innocuous, but perhaps Dr. Sanderson is better suited for complex cases.

I had several doctors try to find my problem. Dr. Sanderson found scar tissue in the corner of my eyelid, removed it, and FINALLY relief!!

If you are considering cosmetic surgery, don't look any further than Dr.James C Sanderson. I am so happy that I had surgery on my eyelids, and wished I had done it years ago. He explained the entire procedure to me and what to expect post surgery. The staff was friendly and so helpful in making sure I all of my info and paperwork was completed before surgery. I feel younger and ready to show off my refreshed look. I simply feel AMAZING!!!

I am a younger woman (early 30s) just starting to notice the begining signs of aging around my eyes. I felt kind of silly being so young and worrying about these things, but wanted to know my options. I heard from a friend that Dr. Sanderson had a great reputation so I decided to make an appointment. I was instantly impressed with the friendliness of the receptionist on the phone (who actually answered, NO AUTOMATED SYSTEM!!) and got an appointment that was convenient to my schedule. I was also informed that the cosmetic consultation was FREE! The waiting room was so nice and beautifully decorated (nice change from the usual sterile doctor's office decor). I was called back by the doctor's assistant who was very friendly. She asked me a few questions about my concerns and never made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable about my being there. Dr. Sanderson came in and reviewed my concerns then let me know what options I had. He told me he didn't feel like surgery was necessary for… me at this time (how refreshing, a doctor who isn't pushing someone to have unnecessary surgery!) but said that something a little less invasive like Botox could be helpful, if I were interested (which I was). When I came back for the Botox injections, it was just as pleasant of an experience and it DIDN'T HURT! I was so worried about that initially. I felt like I was in good hands also, upon learning that Dr. Sanderson is also an ophthalmologist. My results have been fantastic and I don't have that "fake" look that I had always feared before my consultation. And I feel like I am helping to slow down the signs of aging I was concerned about. Overall, the office was nice, the staff was very friendly (they actually SMILE at you and ask how you are!!) and Dr. Sanderson was very informative, educating, and most refreshingly, HONEST. I never felt like I was "being sold" on anything. I had the freedom to make a sound decision based on the information he gave me.I normally don't write reviews, but it was so nice to go the doctor, not feel like you were "at the doctor's office", get great care, and receive excellent results. I would recommend this office to anyone!

I had reservations about having surgery on my upper eyelids, but they were so droopy. I had problems seeing & looked tired all the time. A friend refered me to Dr. Sanderson, & I had surgery. I was so delighted with the outcome. The doctor & his staff treated me like I was part of their family. While having my eyelids done, I had a bump on my face that I asked the doctor to remove. Well it came back as skin cancer. So had to have surgery again. I was so scared that I would have a hugh scar right in the middle of my face, but Dr. Sanderson not only removed the skin cancer but left no scar. I was truly amazed. I highly recommend Dr Sandserson! Him & his staff were so caring. I know I would see him again & I'm sending all my friends to see him too.
