Dr. Schaffer is conscientious, courteous and very professional. He is patient and caring and very knowledgeable. I rate him four out of four starts.

I have been seeing Dr. Schaffer for several years now and I have found him to be a great doctor. He always takes time with me and he really cares about me and my health. His staff is always great too. His nurse, Alexa, is very kind and caring and she is always helpful when I call with questions. I highly recommend this doctor to everyone!

I read with interest some of the more negative reviews re: Dr. Schaffer. My husband has been seeing him since we moved to SouthPark and has been very pleased with him (I chose him for my husband based on his credentials). I never found a GP for myself with all going on & after a brief and frightening hospital stay decided I, too, would make an appt. with him. He has taken a personal interest in my case (or so makes me feel that way). The nutritional plan he came up with for me is WORKING and I am on the road to recovery from a most frightening blood condition, Hyponaetremia. It sounds to me as though like all Drs. out there, he has fallen victim to ObamaCare. I'm giving him 4 stars as I believe he is making the most of very bad situation in the world of healthcare.

I was billed for items which did not take any more time as part of a regular physical exam so the practice could charge more money. Yet, when I mentioned fatigue, no eye contact was made, no comment was made, just more typing on the lap top. Dr. Schaffer charged me for gaining weight, noting that I had higher blood pressure and tends to scoff at information I give him. I go to the gym and exercise. I found out why I was fatigued. I am losing weight, no thanks to him. He thinks supplements are a waste and thinks a multivitamin can give the nutrition that our modern food supply cannot. I would recommend finding a doctor that is more person-centered. Failed to diagnosis tendanitis sp. which a chiropractor ended up diagnosing. If he had taken the time to not just add billing codes and looked at the new supplements that I was taking, he would have identified, as I did later that one of the supplements was responsible for the increased blood pressure. He also charged me for a dx… that he had already found out two years ago. Way to go Doc, take some time to look away from the laptop. I learned from you, not to put up with cold, impersonal healthcare.

I really like Dr Schaffer, he has been my PCP for about 6 years and is very knowledgeable and very friendly. I trust my health to him and don't question his medical advice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schaffer's for 3 years. When I first started going to see him, I thought he was a very nice, professional doctor, who took sufficient time with each patient. However, over the last year or so, I have really noticed a change in him. He seems rushed and stressed. He has also grown for authoritarian in his approach to medicine (telling the patient what to do instead of giving the patient options regarding their care). It really is a shame. I used to give Dr. Schaffer a glowing review.
