Dr. James Robert Schumacher, MD

I have rheumatoid arthritis. I was misdiagnosed by many doctors and was completely disabled. Because of Dr. Schumacher, I have my life back. he is the only doctor who has helped me! His staff is awesome and he is great.

Patient profiling at its best. No empathy, zero bedside manner. Offered no help or options and spent more time asking about whether I pay taxes than my health issues. Stay away if you are disabled! Worst experience ever. Rude and demeaning manner throughout the whole appointment.

m years ago showed inflamation in my spine and SI joints specifically telling me I had Spondylioartritis if thats spelt correctly Was miss diagnosed and mistreated for as long as diagnoses has been given as well as other that was overlooked at the time one being Fibromyalgia and I was told sorry nothing I can do for you " good luck" and then 4 years later after receiving physical therapy going to counceling and it getting worse I was forced to go back to Dr. Shoemocker were he admitted that from even my x-ray froeither way I was never treated for this therefore it increasing gor worse inflamed to a monster and could not even recieve a MRI told tojust go see a pain specialist if I didn't want to be on a immunosuppressant for the rest of my life that my joints in 5-8 years would fuse together and I would not be able to walk. So of course as a patient I was frustrated from diagnoses asked to please look at other options at which point he said go here they'll deny you then we can get… another x-ray although I don't need one so long story short went on prescribed Humira feel like I'm going to die, did a follow up where I was then told thats how it will affect you for a few months and we are talking I had three c-sections I was in that amount of pain with no pain meds nor pain therapy and I was just told I needed to continue and deal with it and sometimes it works for people. I then said i would not take the medicine anymore because as I have three kids and am forced to work even under these conditions was there any other options at which point only similar meds were brought up. My main complaint is the attitude no empathy no actual care was given he could have atleast pretended geeze as I am the patient. It has been a tornado of the ability to possibly reach any form of working together as patient and doctor that is impossible. Always rude and extremely impersonable end no empathy what so ever. This is not a doctor just an individual who needs to at this point step aside and allow another Doctor who can help patients with medical problems rather than make them worse. This stress alone has made the fibro go nutz and talk about depression nothing worse than having the ones "doctors" mistreat you and express there to bad I don't care, "get another doctor than" attitude on you. Its unprofessional and negligent to treat any struggling patient in this manner. I left that day a week ago fed up and tired of being miss treated asked for a new doctor and even the medical group it self has been trying to refer me to outside practices after even speaking with patient services that they apologize for his behavior and I could see another rheumatologist there named Dr. Havieve if I spelt that correctly but all and all it is maddening to even have this company.
