Dr. James Francis Semple, MD

I went in to get a mole removed, however I have a phobia of needles, and have horrible anxiety. All of the nurses were kind and very accommodating, however when the anastegiologist came over he immediately had an attitude with me and was very rude. I was having a bad time with the I.V and the the idea of being put under... "As a medical professional all Dr. Semple had to say to me about it, besides all the arguing, and threats he made against me. He said to me, "Well if you don't like it you can leave." Never in my 29 years of life have I ever heard any professional in any field ever speak to me like that. And this man is supposed to be a professional... in my opinion threats, being argumentive, emotional abusiveness, and giving patients ultimatums to me is not very professional in any sense of the word. I would just like to add that Ultimatums are a form of emotional abuse. It's a problem that St. Vincent keeps emotional abusers on the payroll. A very big problem.

My father had a lithotripsy performed today at Saint Vincent Health Center. This doctor was great. He took a lot of time with my Dad who is 89, and was very down-to-earth and explained everything to him in detail. I was very impressed. I told him not to give my Dad Versed because he got wacky on it, and he was very agreeable. I hope if we ever need anything again in the anesthesia realm, that we get this doctor again. I would definitely request him in the future. Also, his father was a top-notch doctor in Erie, Pa., so the apple did not fall far from the tree so to speak
