Dr. James Paul Shaffer, MD

Dr. Shaffer help my son when he had a pneumonia. He is by far one of the best Dr.s I know! He is extremely intelligent, caring and took the time to explain things in a way that we were able to understand. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends.

I've been a patient of Dr. Shaffer for about 7 years. Over the last 2 years, this office had scheduled me for an appointment which takes at least 3 months to get. Then they've cancelled the appointment the same day saying he has an emergency and they reschedule. This has gone on for 2 years. Now they've discharged me for missing appointments. I've tried to speak with the manager but no one will return my call. They've also been totally inaccurate with records. I highly recommend going elsewhere!

After having sleep apnea for 20 years and seeing a few pulmonary specialists over this same period of time, I finally found Dr. Shaffer. He is the real deal and I feel blessed.

Dr. Shaefer was polite, thorough, well informed and showed genunie cocern for me as well as other patients. Since he also volunteers his time and talents for folks like myself who tend to get lost in the system due to our current high unemployment and economy, this makes him much more than "Just a Doctor" Our whole health system needs more people with the dedication to his craft and duties that he has shown me. When I had a PETScan for possible dangerous lung cancer, the good doctor made sure to call me as soon as he saw the results. This even though it was getting late in the day and he surely must have been ancious to go home to his family. This shows character that we seldom see anymore in this country. I would almost want to be sick just to have him for a doctor always. Dr...thank you.
