Dr. James White Shepherd III, MD

I HAD been a patient of Dr. Shepherd's for over six years. Over the last 18 months, his behavior towards me as a patient became worse, and his misdiagnosis of my pneumonia as a cold almost left me hospitalized. Sadly, he has become cold, unfeeling and treats my wife and me as if we have no right to expect decent care. As a result, I have chosen to leave his care. I would advise caution when considering him as your physician.

Dr is unknowledgable and not very communicative. He doesn’t allow for questions or answers. He doesn’t advocate for the patient.

This doctor has become an outrageous paranoid bully. He screamed so loudly in the exam room that patients in the waiting area heard every word. He accused us of prescription tampering and having others fill illegal scripts. Rather than refer my parent to specialists, he continually told my elderly parent to "pick out your favorite nursing home". My parent was hospitalized with serious complications, complications which Dr. Shepherd did NOT disclose to us. Do not tolerate this behavior from a "medical professional". Find another physician.

Dr. Shepherd is very knowledgeable and friendly.
