Dr. James Thomas Sierra

I had a disappointing experience with Dr. James T. Sierra and Friendswood Dental Group. I dealt with ongoing issues, lack of follow-up care, and difficulty obtaining my full medical records, which have caused me significant pain, emotional distress, and financial strain. From January to July 2024, I was treated for 3-on-6 zirconia dentures. Throughout this time, I received three flawed temporary dentures after an extensive 10-hour surgery. On July 1, 2024, I received the final set of dentures, which were also defective. Despite paying $16,500, I still suffer from jaw pain, swollen gums, impaired speech, and discomfort. Dr. Sierra never explained his treatment or followed up on my condition. His assistant Joy seemed to run the practice and handled most of the communication. The office manager, Kim, has not responded to my requests for complete medical records. In September 2024, I was dismissed from the practice with two contradictory letters that accused me of inappropriate… behavior, which I believe were inaccurate. Dr. Sierra even gave me a bottle of champagne after my final fitting, which doesn’t align with the accusations in the letters. Now, I’m left with defective dentures and no way to fix them. I’ve also had trouble getting my medical records, including X-rays and other necessary files. This delay has made it harder to get corrective treatment, which has only worsened my pain and stress.
