Dr. James Michael Simmering

Evidently Dr. Simmering gave me a black mark in my file. Why? I think we had a misunderstanding and I had a complete lack of knowledge. However, the "black" mark has kept me from getting the proper medical treatment I need from other medical professionals and has endangered me from getting the urgent care treatment I needed due to a gall bladder attack. My husband and I liked Dr. Simmering very much and were shocked that he would belittle himself to do such a thing against us. We therefore give him a black star. I just wish he could feel like we do when we were blacklisted with the local medical community. Very unprofessional and total lack of concern for his patient. Dr. Simmering--SHAME on YOU! Turn about fair play!!

Dr. Simmering was my docrore for 8 years until I moved to Northern Illinois. I even drove 250 miles to go and see him once. I cried when I had to let him go as he could no longer treat me because I had moved out of the area. I am 55 and have never met anyone with his knowledge, sense of humor, compassion, or willingness to do whatever is necessary to determine what is going on with your health.

There are not many Doctors like Dr. James Simmering around anymore in my opinion. This is a real Doctor who spends time with you. Gets involved in your well being. Recently I had a health scare and Thank God he knew his stuff. He himself personally & immediately rolled me in a wheel chair to the lab for blood work. The lab was closed. He then rolled me to the Emergency Room for Stat blood work. Said he would call me with results that evening. A man of his word, he called and told me to get to a hospital that evening because my white cell count was extremely high. I spent 8 days there while they worked to remove the Narcotizing Faciitis (flesh eating bacteria) from my right calf. What I found out latter was Dr. Simmering was checking on me because he cares about his patients. Because of his concern for me, I still have my leg which I risked losing had he not reacted like he did. I've been with him for a few years and every time I have an issue, I know he'll take care… of me. AND now I know more than ever how valuable he is to the medical community. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a patient of yours.

I've known Dr. Simmering for years. He is very professional, kind and courteous. His bedside manner is remarkable. Compassion and spending quality time with patients is required as a physician. Dr. Simmering rocks!!!!!

HE has been my doctor for over 15 years.. I can't say enough about how thorough and caring he is.HE take time to explain the problem and let you know that he want the best for you... He's like the old country doctor that cares

I've had to switch doctors since mine moved to another state a few months ago and it was always a hassle to get in to see her. I'd have to wait two weeks no matter how serious the problem. With Dr.Simmering I'm in either the next day or within that week, which is a major comfort. He really takes his time to listen to the problems and to make sure I'm back on my feet as quickly as possible instead of being in and out of the room in 5 seconds like many others I've encountered.

The several times I have been to his office , I have not had a good experience. I had some injured my ribs and he sent me for xrays. After 1 week I still had not heard back from him. Another time I had phoned his office to get prescriptions on medicene I ahve been taking. When I went there they had lost the request and he would write another one. I watched him walk behind the counter after just coming back from lunch and after waiting over 30 minutes I left. The last time I went i had an appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early. i was taken back to the examination room 15 minutes later my appointment time and sat there for another 30 minutes before I left.

Dr. Simmering has been my doctor for 7 years, and he always takes time to see how things are going and to discuss any problems I am having. When I was in the hospital, and my condition suddenly changed, he actually turned around from heading home and came back to the hospital to check on me. He's the rare doctor who treats each of his patients as real people.
