Dr. James Earl Simmons, MD

Excellent Doctor for my children. If you are looking for someone to care for your child's health and not just his pay check, He is the correct pediatrician.

Doctor Simmons is a great doctor, I wouldn't take anything from his work,however his wife is the office manager and pretends to care about the patients when she only cares about the money and allows the many Hispanic workers to be rude and take the Hispanic patients that just walk through the door with no hesitation of time or a possible appointment,however when you question them at the window there argumentative and in return tells the manager who speaks rudely and taking the side of the innocent Hispanic, which is a joke!! He will lose plenty more patients if they have to deal with the wife no real type of professionalism but portrays to be courteous and honest but actually is rude and ignorant all in one and I can guarantee that alot more patients will leave and have left already it's sad my children was very comfortable and felt save but that was to good for Mrs.Simmons remember you also have kids that have to be cared by other people at certain times. Hes been my family doctor for so long im only 20 but hes been my doctor since i was a baby and now he will be the doctor of my daughter when she is born :)

If there is a downside I'd say that he's usually running behind, but it's because he doesn't rush through appointments. So remember that when he's spending extra time with your kid(s), it means someone else is waiting. Next time you may be waiting a little while. He was open to my alternate vaccine schedule, available in emergency situations (called ahead & eased our entry to the ER with a mild head trauma, and came to the hospital to review and follow-up on the care. Met us post MRI in the ED)Patient, EXCELLENT with kids, conservative practitioner who does not jump to conclusions or rush to the easy (ineffective long term) fix.Don't consider the local hospital rating a negative on this MD. He's practicing in a very demanding location, with a population that is not always insightful about the best ways to maintain their health. The hospital reflects this, but certainly Dr. Simmons does not. You will not find a better Pediatrician in the area (or in my case Japan, Arizona, or even the… closest 2nd Virginia)
