Dr. James Michael Sinard, MD

I've been to Dr. Sinard for four (4) different surgeries covering the span of 3+ years. Dr. Sinard spoke with me regarding what he was going to do during surgery to correct or eleviate a problem I had. If I had a local he spoke to throughout the operation telling me what he was doing and what to expect and even allowed me to watch the procedure on-screen. He followed up with me within a couple of weeks or sooner to be sure that everything was doing well/fine. He's a busy surgeon and sure of what he's doing, so he's to the point when seeing you for diagnosis and pre-surgical information. If you have questions about the procedure, you should ask him at that time. When seeing you post op in the hospital again he's to the point and again you should ask any questions of him while he's there. He will give you an answer, it may not be what you want to hear, but he will answer your question. The only thing I didn't care for is the tablet that you have to complete while… you're waiting, but I can also understand why they use them. When you put your medical history in this tablet the staff can then post it to anybody within the Hospital so that they are up to date on your medical history, medications, whom to contact in case of an emergency, etc. However, this is quite time consuming, thus the longer wait before being seen, but it speeds up other processes that have to be completed further down the line.

Arrogant no bed side manner..cold fish..unprepared, I knew more than he did on decisions made by other doctors involved with my husband case. He talks down to you, has a total disregard for family members. Never saw him even touch my husband..made decisions from notes in his hand... This is not the doctor you want for your loved one in a hospital setting, thank God they do rotations in trauma dept., only had to endure him for a week. It was a long week and I worried the entire week that he didn't over ride the other doctors involved. Never saw him outside of the hospital setting, NEVER would.
