Dr. James David Singleton, MD

I was referred to Dr. Singleton after an extreme flare of undiagnosed rheumatoid arthritis. He quickly diagnosed my illness and spent time patiently helping me understand my illness. He even made time for me during his off hours when I needed help with various symptoms. He put me on a treatment regiment that has literally saved my life. Whenever I am in his office for an infusion, he always checks in with me to see how I am doing. I have never had a doctor that cared as much.

He figured out my medical issue and started treatment right away.

I find Dr. Singleton to be a very knowledgeable, frank, thorough specialist. He shared an abundant amount of info with me regarding my autoimmune illness, treatments available, etc. He proceeds with caution when it comes to prescribing meds to me and giving me very detailed steps on how to take the meds properly, along with ensuring that my lab tests are recieved prior to increasing my dosages. He didn't subject me to unnecessary tests or procedures, yet doesn't cut corners either; because of his extensive experience, he was able to accurately pin-point my health issue. I am grateful to have a great doctor like him!

I believe that doctors always have something new to learn and have to be open and willing to try new approaches to patient care. That is why it is called "practicing medicine". The patient has the right and ultimate say as to what kind of treatment options they decide to go with and that includes none if they so choose. Doctors shouldn't scold clients for being proactive in their own health care. Be open and listen to your patient or they may go elsewhere.

Dr. Singleton does not care and have empathy to his patients. He is not a good listener, does not pay attention to patient medical history and symptoms. He more focus on the quantity of patients than providing quality. Think twice if you're looking for Rheumatologist before you make appointment with Dr. Singleton. Arthritis in all forms is a chronic illness, you need a Rheumatologist who is caring, good listener to your symptoms, have empathy and understanding to your physical pain!!

I was referred to him and when I had my appointment hes walked in and first thing he said is what do you need? I felt lik I was at a fast food restaurant. He was uncaring, cocky and demeaning, i was crying during my appointment because of how he made me feel. I will not return, I have gone back to my family dr and requested they retrieve my records.

I would highly recommend Dr. Singleton. He is extremely caring and conscientious. Being very proactive in my care even calling to check up on how I'm feeling and offering suggestions to come back in if I don't feel better.
