Dr. James Jared Speakman, MD

I developed abdominal pain in Las Vegas and knew I was in trouble. I went to the hospital in St George where I became a patient of Dr. Speakman. My infection required surgery and I was expecting to have a colostomy. Dr. Speakman's innovative ideas resulted in anastomosing my colon in the presence of abscess and uncleansed bowel. First, Dr. Speakman is aware of current trends and ideas. Second, technically he is a fantastic surgeon. Third, I am a live and well. Thank you Dr. Speakman for fulfilling every expectation I could have in a fellow surgeon.

I am an 88 year old woman who was recently found to have colon cancer - I asked to have the surgery done right away. Dr. Speakman was the on call surgeon when I was diagnosed with a golf ball mass in my colon. He did surgery about two hours after that diagnosis and removed lympth nodes and the cancerous section of my colon. I could not have asked for better care from Dr. Speakman, his bedside manner was kind and curteous as well as informative as to my condition. He spent ample time with me and has followed up on my release and condition. Thank you Dr. Speakman for turning what could have been a horrible experience into a tolerable one.

I thought the Dr. was excellant, my surgery results were excellant and healing was normal. I loved his confidence in himself and his calmness reassured me.
