Dr. James Anthony Spoto, DO

I am alive and cancer free thanks to this amazing doctor. He rearranged my surgery and made me and my family feel like a top priority. If you are looking for a friend then you may not like his style. If you want a gifted surgeon with your best interest in mind i can make no higher recommendation. Thank you Dr Spoto for being a true professional I owe my life to you. Forever thank you!

After reading some of these review I wasn't sure what to expect. Bottom line I did not see any bad reviews on his ability to do his job so, I took my son to him to get his tonsils checked and I am so glad that I did. Doctor Spoto was super nice and polite and he listened to my concerns and was very will to help accommodate to any schedule issues that we had. They staff was wonderful also.

Like other reviewers, I was caught off guard by his disrespectful tone and comments at my initial appointment. I won’t be going back. He didn’t even read my chart ahead of coming in or reason for referral from my PCP. In today’s healthcare world, this is unacceptable. There are plenty of other ENT’s to choose from. Metro Health claims they provide compassionate care, maybe he missed the training for this.

I was referred by my PCP but was not expecting to see this provider, I'm not sure how I was never told that I wouldn't be seeing the other provider in the office. We had already checked in and had been roomed at that point, I wanted the concert related to the referral addressed so we wanted anyways. We waited for 45 minutes before he came in to the room. He asked his questions and when you answered it was clear when he wasn't interested in your response when he started talking over you like you weren't talking. I don't appreciate disrespect. Sometimes it's just that personalities don't jive, I don't know that this is the case, he may be a wonderful doctor, we will not be seeing him again though.

Told him about my broken nose and the difficulty breathing in my nose and popping of my ears... He sent me to get a hearing test!

He treated my husband and my son, in such critique times in my family he was the hero and made it go through like a miracle.

I was refered to Dr Spoto by my primary care doctor. I was not impressed at all. He has bad bedside manners. He was very rude and would hardly look at me. He would blow me off anytime I would ask a question. The first words out of his mouth when he entered the room was "Why are you here?" When trying to explain, he would interupt by saying rudely "that has nothing to do with it." He only wanted to focus on one thing and one thing only and THAT had nothing to do with why I was there. I will not be returning and will be looking for another ENT.

I thought Dr. Spoto was a Very nice Dr. Very caring. looks right at you when speaking to you and while I was speaking so I knew he was paying attention to me. I would recommend him very highly!! He helped me a lot! I should have gave all 5 stars because I really didn't have any prob.
