Dr. James Randolph Spradlin, DO

I went to get my well woman's exam and made an appointment. When arriving for my appointment the nurse advises that they did not have me down for an appointment but would take me anyway. She takes my co-pay and I wait 15 minutes. I go to the back and nurse asks why was I there. I explained a well woman's checkup, asthma, and severe pain in my abdomen. She said sorry you can only be seen today for two things. I said "what! what do you mean?", she said, "pick which two would you like to talk to Dr. J Spradlin about today?" I was like, "all of them they all are equally important and I took the day off work for this appointment." She said, "sorry pick two he will not hear more than two concerns. Make another appointment for the other concern". I thought, take another day off, pay another 25 dollar co-pay, not!. I told her "if it wasn't for the fact that I paid my co-pay I would walk out the door and never come back". Also found out that every month you have to visit to get a refill on… your prescription. I have been an asthmatic all my life and a three-month prescription is what I always get because it is cost effective. So now you want me to visit you monthly and pay you $25 for every script you write to me and miss work to go to your office. God forbid I display more than three symptoms at a time. This place is a joke.

Will only give one month prescription and then when I call to make an apt to get my asthma pills refilled, his staff never calls back. Plus it is nearly impossible to get them to pick up the phone. My wife had to wait and hour and a half for a prescription refill. I like Dr. Spradlin but his practice is poor due to management and staff. I would not trust this place.

Great doctor and staff. The doctor spend a lot of time with me, very caring.

I like the way he takes time with his patients to explain things to my understanding and answer questions. He doesn't rush you in and out. Very down to earth, not spouting words you don't understand. This may mean a little longer wait in the waiting room but it is worth it.

Dr. Spradlin is a very good doctor he cares about his patients, he sit and listens & he does not belieave in giving narcotics. Doctor Spradlin has such a great attitude , he's great
