My 69-year-old mother is a patient at this horrible, always crowded and over booked eye doctor. My mom was experimented on, and it is costing her, her health and eyesight. One day after my mom was giving a "new injection" in her eye. She was rushed to the hospital three times in two weeks since getting the injection. Nothing was giving to my mom at her follow up appointment, but some eye drops for her to put in her eye for inflammation every two hours. Nothing but a Waste of time, money and my patience.

The best at what he does, regardless of how you feel about his staff, waiting room or personality, which by the way is forthright and to the point. A good guy and supremely competent. He saved and has maitained my sight for over 35 years.

Dr Staman is treating my 88 year old mother for macular degeneration. She left her last visit screaming in pain. Nothing was done to deal with her questions or her requests.

Dr. Staman was very personable and polite. I was referred to him for a possible retina problem following a cataract surgery (by another doctor) that didn't work. His staff performed all of the tests quickly and professionally, then Dr. Staman sat with me and explained the results, indicating he would write up a detailed report for my other doctor. I had several questions which he answered clearly and gave me his opinion, when I asked, for "next steps" to improve my vision.

Good doctor but overbooks his patients. Third visit of waiting over 3 hours. Totally ridiculous. Not sure how this continues.

After reading these reviews I was worried about seeing him but since I had already been scheduled for emergency surgery for a detached retina I had no choice. I'm going to come to his defense somewhat. While I agree his bedside manner is lacking, he makes up for it for being excellent at his craft. I peg him as a perfectionist, and that's a good thing when it comes to a specialty like retina repair. My surgery was quick and painless. It does hurt quite a bit for two days after the numbing agents wear off. The most important thing is he fixed my retina and I can see. The office does need to do a better job of post op instruction and baking sure you get the prescriptions you'll need. But I would recommend him to others without hesitation. He knows what he's doing.

He isn't one for small talk... But he doesn't have to be. He knows his stuff and is concerned about patient care. The staff is very kind and on the ball. I always have my next appointment set up before I leave and I am called and reminded several days before. If they don't reach me they will call again instead of just leaving it at a voice mail. The whole staff is uniformed in attire which is very appealing. You can tell the staff care very much for the doctors. It is a very family atmosphere that is given off. The convenience of multiple offices are very nice as well. I would recommend florida retina any day.
