Dr. James Robert Stier, MD

I had a difficult birth with my first child. I was in excruciating pain as my uterus was full of oversized blood clots, and none of the dr’s knew that yet. I was on a waiting list for a pediatrician as this was my first and only baby at the time. I Felt extremely discriminated against by this dr because my partner and I weren’t married (we’re still together after 15 years & unmarried btw) and I had tattoos/piercings, and was in unbearable pain that the hospital was not addressing (I ended up almost bleeding to death after this interaction with this dr) he was very rude and unprofessional and basically accused me of doing drugs due to my sons startled reflexes (which is common I now know) AFTER he examined my newborn and failed to support his head and hurt my baby badly by dropping the full weight of his head onto his neck. he did a full drug panel on me and my newborn baby. Everything came back negative of course. This dr stereotyped me and ruined my birth experience with my first… baby.

My wife was concerned about her thyroid, so we contacted Dr. Stier. He provided us with a very detailed and professional diagnosis, and offered several treatment options and recommendations. It is quite refreshing to find a caring doctor who is willing to go the extra mile and spend the time with our concerns.

Dr. Stier really spent a lot of time with me and provided excellent care while I was in the hospital

Dr. Stier took care of my mother in the hospital before she went home on hospice. He had a way of making her (and her family) feel comfortable and at home in the hospital. We'll always remember the kind care that he gave her.

Dr. Stier took care of me when I was in the hospital for about the sixth time in a year due to terrible vomiting and dehydration. He spent a lot of time listening to me and reviewing all of my symptoms. He then tried a medication that no one had thought of before and it worked miracles. My symptoms have been easily treated for the past 3 months thanks to Dr. Stier.

When Dr Stier began working with my father-in-law, I was SO relieved and impressed by his competence, social connection, and willingness to listen and probelm solve. Within 12 hours we had accomplished more than we had in 4 days before he took over care. I was SO impressed with his knowledge base, attention to detail, and the very quick follow through that we received. The following day, he recalled names, details, and clearly had given energy and thought to the problems at hand.
