Dr. James Elliott Stoughton, MD

If this is the doctor you meet during your ER visit, I am sorry for your misfortunate. He is the embodiment of how insecure and incompetent men can show the most anger and arrogance. He was so abrasive and loud that I had to research him because it was so suspicious. He went to a foreign medical school at a time when American medical schools were not that difficult to get into, and was suspended from his Family medicine residency program (he did not do emergency medicine residency) and had to finish residency at another residency program. How problematic or incompetent does one need to be to have to not last 3 years at one training program? This man needs to be fired for his incompetence and complete lack of basic manners.

This Doctor is curt, sanctimonious, and far from caring. I have a family member that has seen him a few time in the ER due to injuries from a car accident. Dr. Stoughton belittles this person's pain, refuses to give the proper interventions for the conditions, and will put labels and dxs in this person chart that are out of context. At one time, he worked for Lourdes and legend states he was the best of the best. I guess he has become a bitter root; an insult to all doctors, including the great Hippocrates. He is a walking malpractice suit and a potentially bad source of PR for UHS (which is a good medical group except for this provider).
