Dr. William Stumbo was born in Kentucky and raised in Southern West Virginia. He fulfilled the requirements for his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology at West Virginia University in 1975, graduating magna cum laude. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from WVU in 1979, and was accepted as a resident in the two year orthodontic specialty program. Dr. Stumbo earned his Master of Science (M.S.) in Orthodontics from West Virginia University in 1981.
Dr. Stumbo has been in the full-time practice of Orthodontics since 1981. He is an active member and past president of the Blennerhassett Dental Association and the West Virginia Orthodontic Alumni Association. Other memberships include the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists and the World Federation of Orthodontists.
Dr. Stumbo enjoys the outdoors and is an avid fly and bass fisherman.
