This has to be the most knowledgeable and compassionate Dr. in the US. His knowledge and demeanor put you at ease during times of stress. Very down to earth, like he is your best friend. Takes the time to thoroughly exam you and explain all facets of your condition and his plan of treatment in words you can understand. In short, HE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Suen has been seeing my daughter for the past couple of years. She has an AVM of the left Maxillary..He has given me the best advice as to what I need to do and what is best for her. He has been truely amazing, he checked on her after surgery and that just showed me how he values his patients and the family. He is an Amazing Doctor.

Best Dr I have ever met

After a consultation at Johns Hopkins then radiation at Mass General in the care of Clinical Director of Radiation Oncology, I decided to go for follow up appointments with Dr.James Y. Suen. I believe he truly knows more about this rare cancer then any in the field. I have been with him for follow up for more than 2 years now and am completely satisfied with his professional,hands on, approach. I travel from out of state for my appointments but I feel it is worth the trouble.

Dr. Suen is amazing...diagnosed my mother after 8 doctors missed it. He always took his time with her and was gracious and not in a rush when we had questions.If all doctors were as caring and excellent as Dr. Suen, the healthcare given would be amazing.We never minded having to wait because we knew he was taking his time and giving the patient before us the care needed. When it was time for us in the exam room, we were the focus of his attention. We were never rushed. He and his nurses took all the time needed to take care of the problem and listen to us. Amazing doctor!

Dr. Suen is the best ENT doctor, especially when it comes to rare diseases, which I had. He is compassionate, explains everything in laymans terms, so you actually understand everything about your condition, accessible, super intelligent and a great staff to assist him. I owe him my life!!

Dr.Suen isn't just a great physician he is overall a picture of what a person should be . When I was blessed enough to find him he saved me. He called me himself on several occasions after surgery most impressive on a Suday just to see how I was. See what I am saying is he's got a true skill but he also has a huge heart. I have metasatic thyroid cancer a surgery was performed 6 weeks befor I met Dr.seun not at uams but i was left with a neck full of tumors and a 8 inch scar I'm 30. He took away my tumors ,gave me a new scare that u can hardly notice and I am so gratefull!

He deserves the highest humanitarian accolades possible along with his exceptional medical skills. I know of no other doctor who is willing to spend the time and make the time on short notice to see me. He is tops in his field (and other fields), he shares his personal phone numbers and e-mail address and answers inquiries himself. He told me this week "I like to treat my patients the way I want to be treated". He certainly has achieved that plateau.
