I SAW DR SUMNERS IN 2017. WHEN I FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT I WENT TO MY OB AND BECAUSE OF MY PAST WITH HAVING AN INCOMPETENT CERVIX THEY RECOMMENDED ME TO SEE DR SUMNERS FOR AN ABDOMINAL CERCLAGE. I TRAVELED 2HRS FROM CINCINNATI, AND IT WAS THE BEST CHOICE EVER. DR SUMNERS WAS THOROUGH AND NICE AS CAN BE. THE SURGERY WENT WELL AT 13 WEEKS PREGNANT. HE TOLD ME THERE WAS A 10% CHANCE THE BABY WOULDNT MAKE IT BUT I DECIDED TO TAKE THE CHANCE. I AM THANKFUL FOR HIM EVERYDAY AND ALWAYS THINK ABOUT HIM AND HIS STAFF. AND BTW I WAS TOLD I COULD GET PREGNANT AGAIN AND I WAS HESITANT ON THAT, BUT GUESS WHAT I AM 7 WEEKS PREGNANT AS IM WRITING THIS. PLEASE BELIEVE IN HIM, HE WILL DO HIS BEST AT MAKING SURE YOU HAVE A CHILD. THANK YOU DR SUMNERS.

I lost my first child at 21+6 gestation due to Incompetent Cervix. I found Dr Sumners via the Internet. He placed a Transabdominal Cerclage and I was able to successfully bring home two children. I am forever indebted to him.

I had robotic surgery for a TAC and everything went extremely well. Dr Sumners is very professional, nice, knowledgeable , compassionate and caring! He also followed me though the rest of my pregnancy after surgery and I had no other issues. The office is great and the women's hospital is the best. Out of 3 pregnancies and 3 different doctors, he is the best! He listened to me and my needs and cared about what I wanted done.

I was misinformed about the risk of having robotic assistance while pregnant,He ended up severing my broad ligament, causzing me to lose my baby. I was not happy about thhe after care, I felt like they abandoned me , didn't called for 3 weeks. would not do recommend this procedure while pregnant

Always allows me to ask any questions I may have and answers every question very informatively. All the staff is very friendly and knowledgable. I would definitely recommend anyone who has a high risk pregnancy to go to Dr. Sumners. Dr. Deaton is also wonderful, friendly, and very knowledgable.

Very knowledgeable and caring physician and staff. Sometimes the wait is long, but they only take care of high-risk pregnancies and consult on some very difficult circumstances.
