Dr. James Frank Swift, MD

I was nervous to change PCP’s but was soon put at ease when Dr. Swift walked in the room. He was very professional, thorough, & efficient. It was my 1st time seeing him & he did a complete head to toe exam, even checking all of my cranial nerves! I’m a RN and he did not know this. He explained everything he was going to do before he did it so there were no surprises. He was also extremely calm, kind, & patient with my autistic 14 year old who I could not find a sitter for. He even let him test out some equipment my son found interesting & that just made my boys day! I also had a form that I needed to have him complete for my new insurance. I was so nervous to give it to him b/c most docs get pissy about “extra work.” Dr. Swift took the form with a smile when I apologized for it, & he said “Hey, it saves you money.” He said he’d complete it when my lab results were in and mail it back to me. He was happy to help. God bless this man!

Dr Swift always takes the time to sit down and do a thorough review of everything in the medical history and I feel like he really listens to me. He is always pleasant to talk too, so I guess you would say a good bedside manner. Also I have never waited more than 10 minutes and usually it is less than 5 minutes. I would recommend him to anyone

Because of the new House Bill 1 in Kentucky, Dr. Swift has stopped prescribing all medicine listed in that bill regardless of the patient's history or needs. While I applaud the integrity of the bill, I do believe it is not fair to many patients. However, instead of working with patients Dr. Swift is inflicting his frustration on his longtime patients. I've been a patient for over 15 years and have noticed the last year Dr. Swift has lost his bedside manner and professionalism.

Very organized office. usual waiting time is two minutes like wow! and he expects the same from his support staff, blood work, etc
