Dr. James D Sykes, DDS

I could not recommend Dr. James D. Sykes to anyone. The root canal Dr. Sykes “performed” on my tooth was painful and difficult. Another dentist identified a problem with the tooth and recommended that I return to Dr. Sykes. Dr. Sykes recommended the tooth be extracted. After the extraction, clearly only a portion of the tooth had been treated. The living portion of the tooth slowly died, became infectious, infected adjacent teeth, and was attacked by the body. Dr. Sykes never responded to my letter respectfully requesting a refund of the return office visit fee ($195) that his staff said I probably would not be charged.

Had an accident knocking a front tooth out of its socket and had to get in to Dr. Sykes immediately. Staff very accommodating and fit me in to schedule. Dr. Sykes was so gentle and precise, I never felt the anesthetic needle and was numbed before I could even think about it. Dr. Sykes took the time to completely explain what he had done, what was left to be done and what precautions to take prior to my follow-up appt. I would have no hesitation recommending Dr. Sykes.
