Dr. James D Thacker, MD

I Have had 6 back surgeries,3 level lumbar fusion, 3 Elbow,1 Shoulder and complete facial reconstructive surgeries over the last 16 years. Needless to say I am in constant pain and know that there is nothing out there that will ever take my pain away. I have tried it All from pills/Alcohol/Street drugs to suicide and nothing ever work including seeing several pain management dr’s over the years. After seeing and knowing dr. Thacker has went through similar pain issues as myself and listening and working with him as well as putting my trust in him to help me minimize my pain. I believe he is most likely 1 of the best pain management dr,s out there that actually knows what he is doing and don’t drug a person up on pills. He uses other methods of healthy living and alternative treatments individualized. Although sometimes there is no other treatment but pain meds for some people like myself. Dr. Thacker will figure out the best way for his patient to live as comfortable of a life… possable when in pain. I Trust this man with my life.

Dr. Thacker cares about the people he sees. O have been going to him for 5 months now and its a real relief to see a pain doctor that REALLY CARES!!! He is NOT a doctor that is going to give you pills and walks away. Dr. Thacker is going to do more than give pills. So if you are in real pain all the time he is going to do everything he can to help you. I am so happy to have him helping me manage my pain. If you are just looking for meds then you better go elsewhere because this doctor is NOT like that!!

Dr. Thacker listens to you. I really mean it. He cares about what you have to say. He doesn't give you pills and say this will help and walk away like some doctors. He tries other things. If you are needing a pain management doctor then this one is great. Again I can not stress this enough, this doctor cares and listens.

Dr. Thacker has been very very helpful. I,v been in lots of pain . He is only dr. To help me this much!!!!

I have had hot flashes and no sleep for over 15 years. Dr. Thacker and his staff recommended the pellets. They worked me in the same day. I haven't had night sweats in several months. My partner is much happier and so am I.

Dr T is a excellent Dr. He takes the time to see you and gives you the care you need. I am not big on Dr's in the first place but he and his office have made me happy. Never has a Dr and there staff take the time to really examine you but his practice does. From the front office to the PA's, to the blood work, to the nurses everyone is kind and compassionate, while giving you great care. Speaking with other patients while waiting everyone feels the same. They always have some kind of candy or treat for my daughter. She goes daddy why can't they be my Dr's they are so nice... I would truly recommend this Dr because they truly do care. Keep up the excellent work and thank you for all your work. Dr T personally went out of his way to make sure I got my MRI, didn't pass the buck to his staff.

I have been seeing Dr. Thacker for over a year and he had me on medication that allowed me to live a normal life and be involved in my family's fictions. Last month he changed my meds to diluidid 8mg and I have been in more pain than I ever thought was possible. It has made me sick and itch all over. I called to let them know what was going on and it was like his new physician assistance didn't even care they just blew me off. Why change something that was working an letting me have a better quality of life before they changed my meds from oxy 30 to diluidid 8mg I don't understand the reasoning behind it. I hope that they can change me back right now the new meds are not working just making me sick.

Dr Thacker changed my life. First pain management doctor I've been to that actually listens to what you have to say rather than trying to push expensive spinal procedures. I have several sources of pain and over the first few months, he was able to get everything under control. I got my life back. Very compassionate and knowledgeable.

Dr. Thacker gave me the most comprehensive exam, more in depth than my primary care/family doctor! He ordered a full blood test, which included my testosterone, estrogen, thyroid and vitamin levels. He has my pain well under control, and every visit it gets a little better with his IMS treatment (deep acupuncture) which gives me 3-4 days of relief! He is very affordable, and I only pay my co-pay. Wait times are very short, and have never waited past my appointment time! I would recommend him to anyone who is in pain, or anyone who just needs a good doctor to look after their health! I am also planning on doing his natural hormone replacement, which I have heard great things about.
