Dr. James Lawrence Thomason, MD

I moved to the Dallas Fort Worth area about a yr ago. I went to another local psychiatrist and it was a disaster. The doctor spent 3 minutes with me! After I waited in the office for over an hour! I started seeing Dr Carlson, nurse practitioner, about 8 months ago and I also saw Dr Thomason, both were very attentive. I also see Dr Thomason every visit which is nice to have his expertise with his nurse practitioner. The two ladies working the front desk were very nice and they are always very helpful. I've never had the care anywhere like I receive in this office. I also like that now since the Covid 19 is going on, I can see them via a program called Doxy right from my living room. It's very convenient! I would highly recommend this office to everyone!

I really enjoyed my visit to Dr. Thomason's office. They were very thorough, and listened seriously to my concerns. They also made sure to explain their treatment plan in-depth to me. Everyone in the office was fantastic, and so polite. They are very mindful of your time as well, which I sincerely appreciated. I would highly recommend visiting Dr. Thomason's office!

i have been a nurse for 25 years and have grown up with a chronic illness, so to say i have been around doctors my whole life is an understatement. i have never seen the caliber of doctor that i have seen in Dr Thomasson. He is an amazing doctor and an amazing person

I have been seeing Dr Thomason for about 4 years. he is the most understanding , compassionate doctor I have ever seen. He treats his patients with respect and actually listens to you. Most doctors see you for 5 minutes give you a prescription and move on the the next one. Dr Thomason spends time with me and knows what is going on with me He has my meds right and I have never felt this good. I have seen several other doctors and no one got it right. He is ALWAYS on time, i used to sit in another office sometimes for a hr to be seen for 5 minutes. His office is very nice, comfortable and not sterile. Kathy and Susan are very kind and always helpful. They go out of their way to help. I love this office and Dr Thomason

Dr. Thomason is the best there is. Above everything else, he listens and he cares. His office staff is amazing and responsive.

I have seen Dr Thomason for many years. He has helps me so much. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Dr Thomason. He is kind, caring and listens to you to help you and he does just that. His staff are all very nice and very helpful. They also care about the patients. I like that Dr Thomason also uses Skype to see patients who live far away and can't get to appointments easily. It's great and I appreciate this so much as I cant imagine changing to another doctor. He is awesome. He has a very nice office too. It feels very homey and comfortable. And the best part is he always runs "on time" and doesn't double book appointments like so many doctors do. And he spend time with you. Other drs I have seen spend 6-7 minutes with you and that is it! Thank you Dr Thomason for everything you and your staff has done to help me. I appreciate you all so much!

PATIENT AND KIND

Great Dr., you won't find better than Dr. Thomason. He is very intelligent and caring.

While it takes a while to initially see him, once you are a regular patient, it is very easy at that point, given that you give him or his secretary 24 hours to respond to you (unless an emergency). He is often not accepting new patients but if you can get on a wait-list then do it ! He really is that good. He is very polite and caring and I never feel rushed. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Thomason is an outstanding, courteous and compassionate man. He listens intently and somehow remembers everything from the prior visit. I have been seeing him for many years and have never had any problems with appointments or prescriptions etc. I think him and his office staff are remarkable.
